When we were putting together our ‘Dos and Don’ts of Throwing An Unforgettable Party‘ all the way back in September, we knew Peking Duk were the only people to speak to. After all, you’ve seen their loose AF tour videos.

As Australia’s most in-demand party-starters, the Canberran duo get a lot of offers coming their way. Everyone from corporations, right down to 16-year-old wannabe Corey Worthingtons are constantly knocking at their door.

It’s the latter that’s currently driving up Peking Duk’s engagement numbers on Facebook. Reuben Styles and Adam Hyde recently took to their official Facebook page to share a burning missive for an anonymous, teenaged super-fan.

We’ll spare you the kid’s infantile humble-brags, but the gist is that he recently threw a 17th birthday party and had about 200 people show up. Inspired, he now wants to throw another ‘event’ and wants Peking Duk to play.

He’ll be charging admission and “won’t [sic] it to be the most historic house party ever”, promising “strippers and massive fire twirling”, and he hopes Adam and Reuben will make an appearance to really kick things into high gear.

As he is 16 he doesn’t have a whole lot of money, but he is offering the duo $2,000 in cold hard cash (presumably made from the door charge) and a whole heap of “alcohol and drugs”, which are just as good as money.

Sure enough, the Peking Duk boys handed the request over to the court of public opinion and had the greatest response possible to the young man’s communiqué: “no deal bro where’s the fkn fairy bread.” After all, what’s a party without fairy bread?

The promotional hopeful subsequently responded to Peking Duk’s post with the promise of fairy bread, suggesting the duo may actually play his party in “October early [sic]”.

Responding to a passionate commenter who urged the boys to play the young man’s box social, Adam and Reuben simply replied, “He has now offered fairy bread.
