Prophets of Rage are the supergroup featuring three former members of Rage Against the Machine, who provide the instrumental backing for Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Cypress Hill’s B-Real on vocals.

They are not, much to the disappointment of many, Rage Against the Machine, though rumours swirled for a minute there that the beloved rap-rock outfit was planning to make a comeback.

However, Prophets of Rage have now unveiled their first eponymous single and wouldn’t you know it, it sounds just like Rage Against the Machine, minus Zack de la Rocha’s vocals, obviously.

You can check out the band’s debut single below. Whilst it’s not the Rage Against the Machine reunion we were all gunning for, it’s probably the closest thing we’re likely to get for now.
