Tak-Un-Da is a Zimbabwean-born hip hop artist raised in South Africa, and now calling the sleepy town of Canberra home.

It’s there that he’s made his first leap into hip hop with his sleek debut single ‘Sex So Good’, and an impressively cinematic video clip to match.

Having teamed up with Atlanta-based producer Flawless for the beat, the track has an undeniably American sheen to it, from the soul-infused vocal hook to Tak-Un-Da’s cadence that has the likes of Kanye in his sights.

Despite first appearances, including the track’s title and a few lyrics that would make other rappers blush, Tak-Un-Da describes ‘Sex So Good’ as a commentary on the meaning of relationships in the modern day.

“The track itself is representative of the real and toxic relationships that our generation succumb to, in a world where sex is an everyday thing, the meaning of a relationship has been diluted and the fabric of courtship, marriage and companionship has been unraveled. The sanctity has been lost.”
