The 1975 are frequent visitors to Aussie shores and it’s not hard to figure out why. They command a considerable following in Australia and their reception during their recent Splendour In The Grass set was nothing short of rapturous.

But if you missed out on their Splendour set or one of their recent sideshows, don’t despair. According to frontman Matt Healy, plans are already in place to bring The 1975 back for another tour some time next year.

According to Music Feeds reviewer David James Young, before Healy and the band departed the stage at Sydney Olympic Park on Saturday night, he promised that the boys would be returning to our shores in 2017.

It should be noted that the band’s Splendour outing wasn’t even their first Australian tour this year, having previously performed a string of all ages shows back in January to a rave reception from critics and fans.
