Jordie Lane is back with his first new album in five years, GLASSELLLAND, and to celebrate, he’s embarking on a massive national tour that will take him to capital cities and regional centres around the country.

The tour will also see Jordie Lane and his band The Sleepers appearing at several upcoming spring festivals, including Dashville Skyline, Fremantle Festival, Mullum Music Fest, and Queenscliff Music Festival.

“It felt like fresh start, a time to get back to my youthful ways, approaching music with naivety and fearlessness,” said Lane of the album. “There was this sign on a hill, around the corner from our first recording space that stood only 3 metres high.”

“[It] said GLASSELLLAND in big block letters. It was this ironic take on the original HOLLYWOODLAND sign. Instantly it became the symbol for the album before we’d even started writing. It was like a visual mantra that said: ‘Your dreams are endless!’”

“But the difference was it was not all glossy and fake Hollywood. It was a mundane, regular working class, real, gritty, neighborhood. Not far from what my hometown of Thornbury was like when I was growing up in Melbourne.”
