Violent Soho just keep checking off milestones. They recently played to an absolutely massive crowd at Splendour In The Grass, they’re about to embark on the biggest tour of their careers, and they completely sold out their last national trek.

Last night they marked another career highlight by appearing as the musical guest on the NRL Footy Show. “Tonight our dreams come alive!” the band took to Facebook to emphatically state. “We are playing the NRL Footy Show!!!!”

Mansfield’s favourite songs played a raucous rendition of their new single ‘Blanket’ and who was in the audience rocking out to the performance and enjoying the show? None other than Soho’s good mates and touring partners Dune Rats.

Dune Rats guitarist Danny Beusar could be spotted sitting beside I OH YOU chief Johann Ponniah throughout the show. As one astute Twitter user noted, “Violent Soho and Dune Rats on the Footy Show are not exactly what I was expecting on TV tonight.” Unexpected? Yes. Awesome? Definitely.

Check out footage from the performance below.
