Felix Riebl, the charming and charismatic frontman for The Cat Empire, today premieres the video for his newest track ‘Wasting Time’.
Proving that he is not one to rest on his laurels, Riebl’s ‘Wasting Time’ is a duet between himself and Little Birdy’s Katy Steele, and serves as another taster from his upcoming solo album Paper Doors.
The track is a sparse, haunting ode to failed relationships in which the familiar vocals of two of Australia’s favourite singers come together to imbue the song with raw emotion.
Coming only six months after The Cat Empire’s newest album, Riebl proves that not only is he nowhere close to running out of ideas, but that everything he touches continues to turn to gold.
Felix Riebl’s sophomore album Paper Doors releases on September 2nd.
