Abbe May reemerged from her hiatus earlier this year with the scintillating ‘Are We Flirting’ and she’s now counting down to the apocalypse on the follow-up single, ‘Doomsday Clock’, both taken from her forthcoming album Bitchcraft.

As May explains, ‘Doomsday Clock’ was written during a period of recovery following a “nervous system breakdown”. “My lifeline really was the great love I feel for my infant niece and nephews,” May said.

“It really made me see beyond myself, that I needed to do something more meaningful than pursue this whole sex, drugs and rock and roll thing. I want them to have a good future here on earth.”

“I want to try at least to help guide them through a better world than the one I currently see being willfully destroyed through greed, manipulation and stupidity. I am just a singer but I may as well use my voice for good if it can in any way make the world better for them.”

May will celebrate the release of the single with a new string of tour dates which are set to kick off in November and follow-on from May’s current tour as part of the legendary Peter Garrett’s backing band. Check below for dates and details.
