So far, Kings of Leon have given us a totally cooked album trailer and a fresh, clean-cut new look, but they haven’t actually given us a whole lot of details about their forthcoming new album, Walls.

But they’ve finally changed that in an interview with Billboard, confirming that their seventh album will be out 14th October. But they still haven’t explained just what that bizarre trailer was all about.

According to the interview, Walls was recorded in Los Angeles, where the group recorded their first to albums, and was produced by Markus Dravs, best known for his work with Coldplay and Florence and the Machine.

The band say the result of their collaboration with Dravs is an eclectic album that ranges from anthemic to electronic. “One song would sound almost electronic and another would sound so broken-down,” said Matthew Followill. “But the way it all flowed together, we were just like, ‘This guy is a genius.'”
