Born Joy Dead are a homegrown indie rock four-piece fronted by Ben Dalton, best known for his time as the bass player for Hungry Kids of Hungary. They have a new single entitled ‘Sourdough’ and it’s already racked up 75k plays on Spotify.

Meanwhile, the band have been lucky enough to play with the likes of Ball Park Music, Bad//Dreems, Hey Geronimo, Jeremy Neale, My Own Pet Radio, and Pepa Knight (Jinja Safari). That’s quite a bit of love for the up-and-coming band.

To give some love back, the band have announced they are offering free tickets to their ‘Sourdough’ single launch to anyone employed at a bakery. What’s more, local bakehouse Sol Bread will be supplying free delicious goodies for all punters.

‘Sourdough’ is about working a job that may not exactly be what you’re most passionate about in this world just to earn enough “dough” in order to fund your dreams, take care of your loved ones, and y’know, eat and live.

To get in on this, bakery employees out there simply need to take a selfie of themselves on the job, post it to their personal Instagram with @bornjoydead and #BJDSourdoughSingleLaunch. The band will then hit you up and let you know you’re on the door.
