‘Pigeons’ is the debut video from Tassie guitar-pop outfit Quivers, who until now have remained hidden away in Hobart, their recordings only being heard on homemade cassettes.

The track is taken from the four-piece’s debut record We’ll Go Riding On The Hearses, written as a means of working through the grief of losing a friend and a brother. Appropriately enough, their sound is a hungover blend of lingering sadness and undeniable optimism, a perfect pairing for a sentimental B&W clip.

Quivers are playing a solid run of shows throughout the rest of the year that kicked off last week with the likes of Neighbourhood Youth and Apes on the bill, and continues on in their hometown Sep 10. The album, which has so far only been released on Bandcamp and through a very limited run of lovingly-crafter cassette tapes, will see a wider release early next year on Melbourne label Pink Lake Records.
