Melbourne’s Peter Joseph Head is making a departure from his self-professed ‘gloomy’ sound to bring you his newest album, the the aptly-titled Peter Joseph Head Lightens Up.

Following a successful Pozible campaign to fund the pressing of the record on vinyl, this album sees Head’s trademark lyrics meet the kooky pop stylings of Jens Lekman, described as “kids songs for adults” in a distinctively Melbourne drawl.

With a 15 date tour of Japan pencilled in for next month, Head will be returning to Australia to do an album launch tour through October & November. Peter Joseph Head Lightens Up is due to be released on October 12th, but in the meantime feel free to peruse his distinctive brand of naïve-pop below.
