Kings Of Leon have just dropped the first single of their anticipated upcoming 7th album, WALLS.

For the long-awaited new track ‘Waste A Moment’, the band enlisted the help of producer Markus Dravs, known for his work with Arcade Fire, Mumford & Sons as well as Coldplay. To any die-hard old school KOL fans this probably spells the death knell of Kings Of Leon – if ‘Sex On Fire’ wasn’t already.

Fortunately, ‘Waste a Moment’ has enough classic KOL in it to please even the biggest Sex On Fire haters. Caleb Followill’s lyrics are almost completely inaudible, the drums are heavy, and the guitars sound as though they were ripped right off of Only By The Night, all making for an interesting mix.

The track is available now to stream pretty much everywhere while the band’s upcoming album WALLS is set for release on October 14th, and available for pre-order now.
