Having spent the last six years running Sydney label Big Village, and performing in former project Loose Change, Rapaport is finally taking the opportunity to drop his debut solo record through his own label.

‘What I Got’ is our first taste from the upcoming album Village Idiot and, appropriately enough, gives us an idea of what he’ll be bringing to the table. We like what we hear. Produced by emerging Sydney artist Ribongia and featuring the talents of Billie McCarthy on the hook, it’s a damn solid mix of bouncy, insistent beats and raspy braggadocio.

One thing’s for certain: it’s guaranteed to bang hard when it launches at Sydney’s Brighton Up Bar on October 8, and we’ll definitely be waiting for the whole album to drop in 2017.
