This year, Angus Stone has left his sister’s side to pursue a new project under the name of Dope Lemon, releasing their debut record Honey Bones earlier this year.
Having premiered a clip of his earlier in the year, Angus has let us behind the scenes of the damn-majestic new video for ‘Coyote’, giving us his thoughts on the clip along with a series of photos of the breathtaking shoot.
Angus recently announced his first national tour as Dope Lemon, joined by the talented Jack River (dates below), while Honey Bones is available through EMI Music Australia.

“I’ve been driving past this little grassy knoll on top of the mountain coming back from Bangalow into town forever now. Every time I drive past the idea of shooting a vid for Dope Lemon kicking round on the peak of it to the song Coyote has been there in my head.
“The clip was shot by some cool cats that have been helping out with some music vids so it was super cruisy with what the plan was… pretty much just took an esky up with some tins & cooled off while the girls made their way up to the top of the hill. Was probably one of the easier clips I’ve done for sure. :) Watching the drone was pretty rad..those things are cool..my friend has one you can hold onto & it lifts you off the ground..bit sketchy..fly you into town to get a burger… not really but would be good.
“Yeah, the day was easy going… I brought along a massive old 1960s red flag I found in an antique store that weekend that’s from Vietnam & gave it to the drummer to wear as a cape… Represent all the super heroes out there you know… might bring it into the live show see if old mate on drums is a true marvel.
