Alex Lloyd just played the Brownlow Medal ceremony, Ben Lee has a new single and Aussie tour dates, oh, and Nelly’s going on tour soon. Forgive us, but just what year is it again? We swear we fell asleep and woke up back in 2005.

Lloyd performed his signature hit ‘Amazing’ during the Brownlow ceremony and has been copping it for what some deemed a flat performance reminiscent of Meat Loaf’s infamous appearance at the Grand Final back in 2011.

“I really wish Alex Lloyd just lip synced that song,” Aussie cricketer Glenn Maxwell tweeted. Of course, we already know how Lloyd, a Sydney boy who prefers rugby, generally does when he’s confronted with anything to do with AFL.

As for Lee, he’s just shared a new single entitled ‘The Enemy Within’ and it’s the first taste of the forthcoming new album Freedom, Love & the Recuperation of the Human Mind. He’ll be celebrating with a string of tour dates in November.

There’s been a lot of nostalgia for the early-to-mid-2000s lately, but it seems we’ve actually travelled back in time to that era and are living it out once again.
