Alt-soul six-piece Mihra are another example of the plethora of talented young musicians hailing from Melbourne, today releasing their debut album Hoping For Gold.

The record offers a selection of eclectic tracks that explore pop styles, while taking them in a more progressive direction. Artfully throwing elements of soul/jazz into their quirky mix of  tunes, with smooth vox and experimental instrumentation, Mihra would fit right in with any number of the modern yet vintage underground cocktail bars of Melbourne’s famous food & beverage scene, drawing influence from the likes of Kimbra and Hiatus Kaiyote.
