Tame Impala have managed to inspire cover versions from a diverse range of artists. Everyone from Northlane and Husky, to Melbourne talent Ali Barter and now triple j favourite Kita Alexander have put their own spit on Kevin Parker’s dreamy psych tunes.

“Found some footage from earlier in the year in LA… forgot how much I love Tame Impala’s last record,” Alexander recently wrote on her official Facebook page, sharing footage of a sterling acoustic cover of ‘The Less I Know The Better’ off last year’s Currents.

Alexander garnered some serious buzz on the triple j airwaves last year thanks to her Like You Want To EP, which came hot on the heels of her single ‘My Own Way’. She later went on to support Jarryd James and Meg Mac on the pair’s co-headline tour.

Meanwhile, Parker has become a hot commodity in the world of pop production. He’s one of the assortment of big names behind Lady Gaga’s latest single and super-producer Mark Ronson has speculated the Perth muso may soon be taking his job.
