Frontier Touring chief Michael Gudinski told us to expect a “massive February and March of rock” in 2017 and he’s a man of his word. It seems pop punk icons Green Day are set to announce an Australian tour tomorrow.

The official Frontier Touring Facebook page just shared an image with the lyric “Television dreams of tomorrow“, with the word ‘tomorrow’ bolded. For those playing catchup, that’s a lyric from Green Day’s ‘American Idiot‘.

Last month the official Frontier Touring Facebook page posted a Bruce Springsteen lyric that suggested a Springsteen tour was being announced the next day. And we all remember what happened next… Springsteen announced a tour, remember?

Anyhow, it seems the tactic worked to whip fans into a frenzy so they’re doing it again with Green Day and can we just tell you, we’re very excited. It’ll be the first time Green Day has visited our shores since they headlined Soundwave 2014.

Since then, the band have busied themselves by working on a brand new album, Revolution Radio, which is set to drop later this month. Make sure you check back here tomorrow and we’ll have all the tour details as soon as they drop.
