A video recorded by an angry American mother is spreading like wildfire across the internet. In the clip, the mother of four, an avowed Christian, takes issue with the lyrical content of Vince Staples’s single ‘Norf Norf’.
“This rap song comes on and guys, I could not believe what I was hearing,” she says in the clip. “This is on our local radio station, this crap is being played. I couldn’t even believe the words that I was listening to. As a mom, it infuriated me.”
To be fair, the ‘Christian white lady’, as she’s now being called, is actually pretty reasonable about the whole thing. She states quite clearly in the video she doesn’t wish to see the song banned or Vince Staples boycotted.
However, her over-the-top, highly emotional reaction to specific parts of the rapper’s lyrics, such as “hoes need abortions“, and the idiosyncratic way in which she recites them, has left the web in stitches.
“Bitch you thirsty / Please grab a Sprite / My crips lurking / Don’t die tonight”, she spits in the video, whilst her child plays in the background. The mother reportedly heard the song on her local radio station as she drove her kids to school.
