Having just returned from touring through the US and Europe, Sydney rock outfit The Art are back with a fresh slab of anthemic rock in new single ‘Sugar Queen’.

Taken from their forthcoming record All In The Mind, ‘Sugar Queen’ is a rollicking hit of pop-rock dripping with glam and anchored by the crisp vocal harmonies of founding duo Azaria Byrne and Kara Jayne. The accompanying video neatly encapsulates the feeling they’ve been chasing across the world, that of tearing it up on the live stage.

The band have spent the last few years living out a rock fantasy, sharing stages with The Pixies, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Linkin Park, and Thirty Seconds to Mars. After a year on the road through the US and Europe with Faster Pussycat, they’ve finally returned home to play a run of homecoming shows with Aussie rock champs The Superjesus – and finally drop their latest record.

Described in simple terms by the band as ““music you want to **** to”, this new album gets beefed-up production at the hands of Stevie Knight at Electric Sun Studios, and a band now well-oiled from extensive live touring.

All In The Mind will be released on November 11 through Golden Robot Records, and is available for pre-order now via iTunes and the SFR Store (for physical and fan bundles), with all pre-orders receiving three tracks – including Sugar Queen – on the spot.

If you get in quick, you can catch The Art slaying the stage on the remainder of their national tour with The Superjesus, kicking back off at The Corner hotel this Friday – dates below.
