Today we’ve got a new one from one of our favourite Perth hip hop outfits The Brow, their killer new single ‘Circles’.

Coming just over a month after their most recent EP, Third Trimester, the seven-piece are already back at it again. Newcomer to the group Talia Hart – the group’s youngest member “by a fair margin” – adds her gorgeous, soulful vocals to form the core of the track, which itself takes a world-weary but resolute view of the society we live in.

The first track written with Talia on board, it signals an important moment for the group, who now find themselves reinvigorated – and it’s hard to argue with the results.

“Circles is definitely a new direction for The Brow and we believe it is culmination of our influences and a sign of things to come,” drummer Josh Ellis says. “Having Talia welcomed in to the band and then dedicating that time to nothing but The Brow was the kick-start that we required and an inspiration for all us to pursue what we are doing now.”

“Being fresh to the band she has the natural advantage of hearing everything with fresh ears and also seeing our vision from an outsider’s perspective,” the band say of their new addition. “Now she is central to this vision and is shaping it with her own contributions. Talia has an incredible ability with creating melodies from raw undeveloped ideas and this has been a catalyst and inspiration for us to start writing and producing music again.”

Setting themselves apart with their live beats, The Brow will be launching the single this Friday at El Grotto in WA, then heading out on tour for a bunch of headline shows and supports for acts like Drapht and Sex on Toast – dates below.
