Sydney outfit Bad Pony have followed up their recent track ‘Sideways’ with another indie banger, new single ‘Bottles’, which seems destined for festival stages with its twinkling, Foals-esque guitar lines.

“’Bottles’ is about a toxic, alcoholic relationship,” says frontman Jarred Young of the track. “It’s a lyrically co-written effort that explores frustration, infatuation, intoxication and despair.” It’s that frustration that shines through in the track’s best moments, where Jarred absolutely tears into a vocal line, the coarseness providing an ideal counterpoint to the smooth summer jams.

Having just played their first international showcase at Singapore’s Music Matters, Bad Pony are about to head off on an East Coast tour in celebration of the new single – dates below.
