Music lovers can rejoice today, as Mountain Sounds announces its 2017 return and the first band on its lineup – the one and only Dune Rats.

Having captured the hearts and minds of punters all over Australia for the last three years, Mountain Sounds Festival has locked in the 17th – 18th February for its 2017 edition of the festival.

The two-night camping festival has been a popular destination for punters over the last couple of years, with bands likes DZ Deathrays, SAFIA, Tkay Maidza convinving punters to make the trek to the Central Coast of New South Wales for the festival.

If the gorgeous landscape alone isn’t big enough news to drag you there, the festival have also announced the first band to lead the bill; none other than deadset legends Dune Rats.

While the Dunies are currently overseas on a European tour with DZ, they’re hoping to have some new music out by the end of this year, or the start of the next, just in time for their Mountain Sounds gig.

With the full lineup set to be announced on 27th October, we can only wait with bated breath to see who joins the Dunies on the bill.
