The Descendents, one of the most irreverent and imaginative bands ever to come out of Los Angeles’s bustling South Bay punk scene, are set to return to Australia for the first time since 2012 this February.

They’ve now announced a string of sideshows that will see them showcasing the timeless discography that influenced bands like Blink-182 and Green Day, as well as their new album, the acclaimed Hypercaffium Spazzinate.

Coming up in a scene that was bursting with fiery, vitriolic bands like Black Flag and the Minutement, the Descendents set themselves apart by taking punk rock back to its roots in bands like the Ramones.

Singing about “girls, growing up and food”, the Descendents are a generation-defining band for many, and their fizzy punk energy will be on full display when they take on Aussie crowds this February.
