It seems everybody in Tame Impala has a side-project, even its former members have all sorts of strings on their respective bows. Come to think of it, Tame Impala is technically a side-project for everybody except Kevin Parker, who sure enough has plenty of side-projects of his own.

A few of Tame Impala’s members are in Pond with former member Nick Allbrook, Jay Watson has his own solo project as GUM, Cameron Avery recently unveiled a new solo single, and now drummer Julien Barbagallo has announced the release of his second solo album, Grand Chien.

As Pitchfork reports, Barbagallo’s eponymous side-project will unveil Grand Chien later this month on 28th October. The album is the follow-up to Amor de Lonh, which the French-born drummer released back in 2012. You can check out the slinky and sublime new single ‘Oubliez-moi’ below.

Speaking of Tame Impala side-projects, Parker, Allbrook, and some old friends recently reactivated Mink Mussel Creek during a one-off performance at Camp Doogs in Harvey, Western Australia. You can check out footage of the whole set, filmed on Parker’s “crusty smartphone back-cam” here.
