‘Golden Days’ is the new one from Brissy guitar pop outfit The Halls – a band who first released their self-titled debut EP back in 2012, but had been sadly, rather quiet up until this year.

We’ve premiered a couple of their tracks so far this year in ‘City Lights‘ and ‘Lemonade‘ – which has been getting some well-deserved love from triple j’s Unearthed radio – and their newest track continues a welcome comeback for the duo.

Showing a clear influence from ’80s and ’90s artists such as The Cure, PJ Harvey, and more modern influences from groups such as the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, ‘Golden Days’ is a pretty refreshing take on the over-saturated indie rock genre, with elements of dream pop thrown in for good measure. Whether it’s the first taste of an upcoming album or EP remains to be seen, but here’s hoping The Halls keep on delivering more of what we’ve been hearing so far.
