After rounding the long-list down to just four finalists, the organisers of Melbourne Music Bank have crowned Tempus Sun as this year’s winner. The group were announced as the victors during the MMB finale ceremony at Melbourne’s Hamer Hall.

The band, who were selected as the winner based on the strength of their incredible track ‘Owls’, have won a career-making prize pack worth more than $60,000, which includes four days of recording at Melbourne’s The Studios In The City and a spot at Beyond The Valley festival.

They’ll also get two film clips, album artwork, printed CDs, styling, media training, and a photoshoot for the release, as well as management and mentoring by Matt O’Connor, publicity by On The Map PR, radio plugging by Varrasso PR, and gig bookings by 123 Agency.

“Congratulations to Tempus Sun – six fantastic artists with a unique sound who’ve scored a terrific boost to their musical career. Influenced by Coldplay, Fleetwood Mac and Mumford & Sons, they bring all the feels and just make you want to boogie!” said Jac Phillips, Bank of Melbourne’s Head of Brand & Marketing.
