Ôntrei is a genre-pushing hip hop artist from Sydney who’s pricked out ears up for a little while now, so we’re happy to bring you your daily dose of rap quirks in his new number ‘SHABBA’, put together with a little help from producer DeliciousPresents.

He’s described his music “insight to a life living with high functioning autism, ADHD and the general insanity of being a human along with a plethora of other subjects”, and he sure manages that in each and every track, the warped vocals of ‘SHABBA’s Hebrew-inspired chorus being just the latest example.

None other than Sampa The Great gave Ôntrei a shoutout recently as “one to watch out for” in an interview with Noisey. “He freestyles like a beast! I take freestyle lessons from him that are epic. He’s crazy. Just listen to him, that’s all I have to say.” If you’re looking for more hip hop that strays from the formula, Ôntrei dropped his new EP Games earlier this month.
