If we didn’t know any better, we’d say Imperial Broads had been frozen cryogenically shortly after forming in the heyday of the ’90s lo-fi garage scene, only to be thawed out for our listening pleasure in 2016.

The debut album from the Sydney garage pop quartet is entitled Who Are We Turning Into?, which features the effervescent first single ‘You’re Scared’ which triple j Unearthed’s Dave Ruby Howe praised as “Snappy but gritty, poppy but scrappy.”

The album will be self-released on vinyl, CD and digital on Friday, 4th November. This nine-song set will undoubtedly go down as one of the best underground releases of the year. Check it out for yourself below.
