We knew Dune Rats have had a lot on their plate lately and we were anticipating a new release from them in the near future, but we weren’t expecting this. According to the boys, they’ve gone and completed a new album.

The Brisbane trouble-makers took to social media to make the news official. “WE’VE MADE A NEW ALBUM AND IT IS FINISHED!!!!! NEWS COMING SOON,” they stated emphatically. The last we heard, the Dunies were going to drop another single before year’s end.

“I reckon we’ll have another song out this year, whether it’s with DZ or not, which will be sick. At least one more song out this year,” BC recently revealed in an interview with Music Feeds.

The band recently took to Instagram to proclaim that their new record is “finished and sick”, having previously revealed that they’d been busy writing with DZ Deathrays, with whom they are set to tour North America and Europe.

Meanwhile, triple j’s 2016 Aussie Release Schedule claimed the release they’d been cooking up would be an EP dropping some time before the end of the year.

Whilst details on the album are scant, we know it was was recorded with FIDLAR frontman Zac Carper, whom the band met when they toured North America together. Carper was behind the mixing board for the Dunies last single, ‘Bulls**t’.
