Today, Sydney alt/glam rock stalwarts The Art are back with their long-awaited return All In The Mind.

Anthemic album opener and lead single ‘Sugar Queen’ tells you all you need to know about where the band is at, setting the tone for a record packed full of powerful rock anthems, with a few more contemplative moments thrown in there for good measure – at times rough and ready, at others polished to a sheen.

The band have spent the last few years living out a rock fantasy, sharing stages with The Pixies, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Linkin Park, and Thirty Seconds to Mars. After a year on the road through the US and Europe with Faster Pussycat, they wasted no time getting back on the stage, playing a run of homecoming shows last month with Aussie rock champs The Superjesus.

With all of that taken care of, they’re finally ready to drop the new record, three years in the making. Described in simple terms by the band as ““music you want to **** to”, this new album gets beefed-up production at the hands of Stevie Knight at Electric Sun Studios, capturing the powerful sound of a band now well-oiled from extensive live touring.

All In The Mind sees its official release tomorrow through Golden Robot Records, but is available for pre-order now via iTunes, as well as through the SFR Store for physical and fan bundles with signed copies, poster, guitar picks and various other goodies.

The Art will be launching the album at Sydney’s Oxford Circus on Saturday November 19, and are offering fans the chance to sign themselves up for the guest list here for what promises to be a very special homecoming show.
