Sticky Fingers recently dropped their music video for ‘Sad Songs’, but it’s another music video that’s landed them in some hot water.

As Music Feeds reports, the band have removed a job ad posted to creative careers website The Loop seeking animators for a new video project.

The ad was seeking illustrators and animators to create two-second “full colour, psychedelic animated loops”. The job was unpaid, though the artists would be credited.

“This project is a great opportunity not only for guaranteed professional exposure but to work on a unique style of animation for a well-known Australian band,” the ad read.

Speaking to Music Feeds, a representative for the band said a producer hired to make the video had placed the ad, which was taken down after the band heard about it.

The band had previously taken to popular jobs site Seek looking for artists to work on a different video project, which ultimately became their video for ‘Dreamland’.

Tone Deaf reported at the time that the job was paid contract work, however Music Feeds has spoken to three animators, two of whom agreed to volunteer and one of whom was paid.
