Lovely new stuff today from Sydney artist RESD aka Paul Carpenter, who has just released his new single ‘The Right Thing’, a soundtrack to the ennui that sets in after the breakdown of a relationship.

Having stepped away from playing in bands after Sydney’s live scene “started dying a slow and painful death”, Paul picked up an iPad and began working on beats and acoustic bedroom demos. With each track recorded entirely by Paul himself, they were then mixed by Michael Badger at Jaya Jaya Studios in Melbourne (The Demon Parade, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard) – who also contributed to the mood of longing and despair with his backing vox.

‘The Right Thing’ is being released independently on iTunes and streaming platforms this Friday November 18, but you can hear it now below.
