The entertainment for the 2016 ARIA Awards was announced this morning and boasts a lineup that has collectively amassed three ARIA Hall of Fame inductions, 112 ARIA Awards, 359 nominations, more than 18 million album sales, and over 4 million single sales.

This includes Mansfield rockers Violent Soho and The Voice himself, Australian music legend John Farnham. As they write, the Queensland boys honestly couldn’t be more stoked at the prospect of performing on the same stage as the iconic Aussie hit-maker.

“If you came to one of the shows on our recent tour you would know we walked out to Farnesy’s classic ‘You’re The Voice’,” Soho wrote on Facebook. “Now only weeks later we get to play alongside the great man!! Stoked to be playing this year’s ARIA Awards.”

It just goes to show you that dreams can come true.

Also helping the ARIA Awards celebrate 30 years of giving shiny, pointy statues to homegrown musicians will be former Powderfinger frontman Bernard Fanning, Hall of Fame inductees Crowded House, Album of the Year nominee Flume, local hip-hop star Illy, and more.
