Melbourne producer Roland Tings has just dropped a new banger, timed with his signing with his new record label Cascine.

One of the most exciting new producers to come out of Australia in recent times, he’s had a meteoric years off the back for his self-titled 2015 debut, but finally found time to take a break and get away to a house on the Central Coast to write the new track.

“I wanted to make a song that would capture what I could only describe as cold euphoria,” he says. “The exhilaration of being feeling untethered after a long time in the same routine. The intoxicating smell of eucalyptus after a long time in the city.”

“I wanted to make something that captured the beauty of that coastal landscape in winter. The way the trees on the windward side of the headland grow with twisted branches, braced against the southerly storms. I wanted to make something that sounded like total release, coming out of a dark place into somewhere filled with light.”

Having just wrapped up a 25-date US/Canadian tour supporting Chrome Sparks, he’s currently on the road with RÜFÜS in the US, but will be returning to play some long-awaited hometown gigs when Beyond The Valley and Laneway roll around, dates below.
