Unsuspecting Americans have just become the unsuspecting victims of a cheeky marketing campaign by renowned weed connoisseurs Dune Rats.

Currently on tour in the US  and never ones to shy away from a bit of mischief, Dunies took to the streets of Minneapolis to ask unsuspecting passers-by the all-important question: “Scott Green?”

The question, of course, is a reference to their newly-unveiled single by the same name, which was played on triple j ahead of its release on the 25th and slyly asks us “who’s got green?”

Responses from the punters ranged from confused and intrigued to just a touch scared, but they did manage to score a fist-bump from one guy, despite his claims of the lads completely wasting his time.

Who’s Scott Green in Minneapolis? #scottgreen

Meanwhile, US fans who were in on the joke seem more than familiar with our mate Scott, and ridiculously excited for the Dunies to hit their cities.

“Fucking Hell I almost forgot to mention that the wife and I are not only bringing scott green with us but more specifically… bubba k!”, said one excited local.

“Have a great show tonight and we’ll see you in Chicago Thursday. Fuck me I cannot wait! I need to go blaze so I keep from bouncing off the walls with anticipation.”

The vid was a follow-up to the Dunies earlier cinematic masterpiece, a pretty similar effort that sees them turning the question on themselves instead.

??? #scottgreen ???

The viral marketing rampage seems to be continuing across the US as Dunies today head to Chicago, no doubt pestering more locals with the mysterious query.

Finally made it to Chicago. Anyone Scott Green? 🍻🎉🍁
