There were two ways to experience the 2016 ARIA Awards ceremony last night. Either you tuned into Channel Ten and watched the live broadcast with all its glitz and glamour, or you follow Queensland indie outfit Ball Park Music on Twitter and rolled on the proverbial floor with laughter at their drunken tweets.

As Music Feeds notes, the Brisbane crew were nominated in the category of Best Rock Album (as they’ll remind you, they didn’t win but Violent Soho did so #yay) though they mostly attended the ceremony to enjoy the free drinks and make sarcastic comments on Twitter. Seriously, it was great.

We’ve selected a few choice cuts for you below, but we highly recommend you head on over to Ball Park Music’s official Twitter channel to see all the glory for yourself. No one was spared, not Violent Soho, not Kyle Sandilands, not King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, and not even Jimmy Barnes.

In case you missed it, we recently came up with a list of all of our still unanswered questions from the 2016 ARIA Awards ceremony, which you can check out here. More than anything we’d like to know why an awards ceremony celebrating Australian music was being held at Sydney’s Star Casino, a symbol of all that’s wrong with the local government’s arts policy.
