Kye Smith is a very busy man who’s arms must be really tired. No, he didn’t just fly in from somewhere, but boy would that have been a hilarious punchline. He spends his days making thoroughly impressive YouTube videos in which he drums through the entire discography of a band in a matter of minutes.

In the past we’ve seen this Aussie battler slam his way through the discographies of Blink-182, Green Day, and our very own The Living End, but his latest project is something quintessentially Australian. He’s gone and drummed through every single triple j Hottest 100 Number 1 in history.

As you can see in the video below, Kye goes from the top on down, kicking off (no pun intended) with ‘Hoops’ by The Rubens and ‘Talk Is Cheap’ by Chet Faker, before working his way to the very beginning of the Hottest 100, making sure to hit every stop along the way, including Queens of the Stone Age’s ‘No One Knows’.

Best of all, he even finishes the whole thing off with Darude’s ‘Sandstorm’, likely as a tribute to departing morning hosts Matt and Alex, since y’know, Darude’s never won the Hottest 100. However, we maybe would’ve preferred to see him end with Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’, but maybe that’s too cheeky.
