Following the official cancellation of his planned Australian headline tour, the organisers of Byron Bay Bluesfest 2017 have sadly confirmed that legendary Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young will no longer perform at Bluesfest on Good Friday 14th April 2017.
“This comes as a great disappointment to Bluesfest, as well as all the Neil Young fans, who were looking forward to his performance,” an official statement from Bluesfest HQ reads. “Bluesfest is currently working on replacing Neil Young with a new headliner for the Friday night. There will be a new artist announcement coming very soon!”
Punters holding Friday Single Day Tickets will be able to receive refunds from today (Friday, 2nd December). However, Bluesfest is urging Friday Single Day Bluesfest patrons to hold onto their tickets until the new artist announcement is made. Refunds will still be available for seven days after the announcement.
Three-day ticket holders looking to change their three-day ticket configuration are advised to stand by for further artist announcements, as more headlining artists will be added. Any further enquiries can be referred to the Bluesfest team on 02 6685 8310 or via [email protected].
