Following the sad announcement that The Julie Ruin will no longer be appearing at St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival 2017, organisers have now announced a superb replacement in the form of Castlemaine native Oliver Hugh Perry, but you probably know him better as local and international sensations D.D Dumbo.

Perry will be playing every stop of the Laneway tour except Adelaide, bringing the songs that saw him win triple j’s J Award for Australian Album of the Year. That album, Utopia Defeated, featured such singles as ‘Satan’, ‘Walrus’, and ‘Brother’, which have garnered acclaim all over the world.

What’s more the addition of D.D Dumbo to the Laneway 2017 lineup fulfils a dream organisers have had since the immensely talented singer-songwriter released his charmingly lo-fi, self-recorded debut EP, Tropical Oceans, all the way back in 2013.

And don’t forget, your Laneway 2017 ticket still gets you a place in the crowd for the esteemed likes of Tame Impala, Ecca Vandal, Gang of Youths, Glass Animals, Jagwar Ma, Jess Kent, and many more. Check below for the full lineup now.
