Vulgar, incendiary, puerile, these all words that could be used to describe The Gooch Palms, but they don’t care, they’re too busy booking extensive tours throughout the United States and Europe, as well as their homeland Australia, and they’ve recently added another accolade to their CV with the announcement that they’ve signed to Melbourne booking agency 123 Agency.
Having spent the last 12 months trotting around the globe and being one of the most talked-about bands at the recent BIGSOUND conference in Brisbane (we saw them, and they absolutely blew us away), the duo will be taking some time off over the Christmas period in their hometown of Newcastle before regrouping and charging full force into the new year.
They’ll be partying at venues near you, as well as hitting up festivals around the country, including Mountain Sounds Festival and Hard Grime Festival. Make no mistake, the band are at the peak of their powers and their chops are sharper than ever – they’re currently in the midst of a European trek, smashing language barriers with their Aussie charm and pop rock anthems.
The band dropped their sophomore album, Introverted Extroverts, back in June and it received glowing reviews across the board for the band’s breezy, catchy songsmithing.
