DMA’s are coming off possibly the biggest year of their careers. They kicked things off by finally unveiling their eagerly anticipated debut album, Hills End, and they’ve basically been on the road since, admittedly reaping comparisons to Britpop and Oasis pretty much everywhere they go.

No doubt the end of the year and the relentless 12 months they’ve had has made the boys a little reflective and they’re in the mood to look back on where it all started. They’ve unveiled their first ever music video for their first ever song, ‘Play It Out’, which was made on a mere $20 budget.

Meanwhile, despite the fact that they’ve really only just unveiled their debut full-length effort, the Sydney trio are wasting no time in getting to work on the follow-up. Taking to Instagram recently, Newtown’s favourite sons announced the end of their 18-month world tour and dropped some mouth-watering news.

“18 months of touring done,” the band, who must be pretty tired by now, wrote via their official Instagram. “Thanks to everyone who caught a show. Back home now for summer festivals & to write the 2nd album.” Just to put this in context, the dust has barely settled since the whirlwind that was Hills End, which only came out in February.

Looks like DMA’s might be going after the throne currently occupied by Australia’s most prolific band, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, who are planning on dropping five next year. Looks like DMA’s have quite a bit of work ahead of them to match that effort. You can check out their post below.
