As you wake up on New Year’s Day, hungover and having already broken most of your new year’s resolutions, SBS have the perfect countdown to ease you into 2017 – their annual Chillest 100, which will playing across January 1 on SBS Chill.

With the cheeky tagline, “because not everything in life has to be the hottest”, the Chillest 100 operates under a fairly loose format, with songs from any era or genre eligible for the chart – as long as it’s “chill”, of course.

The countdown is voter-sourced, with entries closing on December 15. You can also win a $200 gift voucher for your troubles – which is a pretty sweet deal.

Last year’s countdown saw Massive Attack’s dreamy ‘Teardrops’ take out the top spot, followed by Hayden Calnin’s ‘Comatose’, ‘Porcelain’ by Moby, and ‘All I Need’ by Air (which has one of the greatest video clips of all time, for the record).
