After weeks and weeks of updates and hearsay, Dune Rats have finally announced the official details of their eagerly anticipated new album, entitled The Kids Will Know It’s Bullshit, set to drop Friday, 3rd February. The Queensland troublemakers have accompanied the announcement with the release of a loose AF music video for new single ‘Scott Green’.
The Kids Will Know It’s Bullshit, an 11-track suite produced by FIDLAR frontman and bloody good dude Zac Carper, was recorded at Head Gap Studios in Melbourne and also features the runaway underground smash ‘Bullshit’. The album is currently available to pre-order in digital, CD, and vinyl format, as well as part of deluxe packages featuring Dunies tees, skate decks, and bongs.
Meanwhile, you can check out the official ‘Scott Green’ clip below, directed by Mac De Souza of Hype Republic, as a ‘choose your own adventure’ interactive music video. Fans are invited to join the Dunies on a caper adventure through a series of house parties, choosing which rooms they enter and how they party in order help them solve the mystery of ‘Who’s Scott Green?’
“The concept is the band are heading to a house party, and have their stash of weed stolen off them out the front by our ‘Scott Green’ character who runs into the house,” De Souza said.
“The chase for Scott Green begins and they search for him high and low throughout this fantasy-like house party with 4 different themed rooms based on drugs you’d see at a typical Aussie houseparty (weed room, ecstasy room, cocaine room and LSD room). The viewer gets to choose which door they go in, and each room provides a ‘clue’ to where Scott Green might be hiding in a ‘Where’s Wally-like game adventure.”
Dunies drummer BC Michaels added, “Had a fucking blast making this clip, we jumped straight off the plane from Europe, filmed for three days straight and then got on a plane to the states. Stoked with how it turned out and everyone who put in effort!
