Ministry Of Sound started as a London nightclub, and spawned into a record label, a radio station, and one of the most recognisable brands on the planet. But for countless Aussies it’s the Ministry Of Sound Annual compilation series that soundtracked hundreds of nights out, evenings in, and hazy mornings after.

The first Annual compilation was released in 1995, with the first Australian Annual dropping in 2001. According to News Corp, the series has been responsible for over two million sales in Australia alone, with each edition selling upwards of 100,000 copies during the peak. Worldwide, MoS have sold an astounding 55 million compilation albums – this includes not only ‘Annual’, but other popular series, such as ‘Sessions’.

According to Ministry of Sound Australia, the 2005 Annual was the biggest seller, with just under 300,000 sales – sales for the 2008 Annual came close to this.

The first local Annual – the 2002 Annual, which was released late 2001 – was an instant success, selling 130,000 copies.

15 years on from the release of the first Annual in Australia, Ministry of Sound DJs John Course and Mark Dynamix are embarking on a reunion tour, suitably focusing on the Annual releases from 2001-2004. Tour dates are below, with tickets available here.
