Skegss have released the clip for their erroneously-titled new single ‘Spring Has Sprung’, which is already a triple j hit, being added to full rotation just in time to become the feel good hit of the summer.
The video, however, might make you feel a little… well, voyeristic, considering it’s just loads of close-up shots of people making out. This isn’t Hollywood mouth-closed, multiple-take, meticulously-blocked kissing either, but instead the real type. This is front stoop, sweaty, mouth-open make out sessions that will ring all too familiar to most of us.
The clip also features a sneaky cameo from Dune Rats, but they managed to avoid being roped in for any pashing, it seems.
‘Spring Has Sprung’ is the first track lifted from the band’s forthcoming Holiday Food EP, which is due in February. You can catch the guys on tour from next month too, as they bounce around Australia, and even hit New Zealand for a run of dates, below.
