Hell fuck yeah! Violent Soho’s excellent WACO has topped an Aussie-heavy list of the top albums of 2016, as voters by triple j listeners.

The Queenslanders nudged out Flume’s ARIA-winning sophomore record Skin, which came in second. The Avalanches very own Chinese Democracy, Wildflower, came in third place, with Bloom by RUFUS voted as the fourth-best album.

Pleasingly, the list is filled with Aussie acts, with Radiohead and Frank Ocean the only international acts to make the list. Despite the prominence of females on the triple j Unearthed most-played artists list, the only act in this list to feature a female is Ball Park Music.

Last year’s list saw Tame Impala’s Currents take out the top place, edging out Courtney Barnett’s Sometimes I Think And Sit, Sometimes I Just Sit, which won just about every other poll that year. Full list under this great video.
