Bernard Fanning has decided this Christmas, it’s “about time the tables were turned” after a year of hassling his fanbase about shows and records. To that end, he is gifting his fans a three-song live recording performed by Bernard Fanning and the Black Fins from the Melbourne Palais show on the ‘Civil Dusk’ tour.

For the price of an email address, you can access the songs free of charge, which have been mixed by long-term Powderfinger producer Nick DiDia.

It’s a little token of my appreciation for all of the support that you guys have given me and my band this year”, Fanning wrote on Facebook. “I really mean it. It’s free. And you can pass the link to your friends if you think they should be apart of the greatest group of people in the entire world too.”

Fanning then went onto announce the completion of his next record, named Brutal Dawn. It is the second album he recorded in 2016, following Civil Dusk. “It’s been pretty hectic getting two records completed in a year,” he admits, “but we did it! It’s going to be out sometime in the first half of 2017.”
