We’ve rolled out of bed after the new year, and our first premiere of 2017 comes from Brissy rock duo Faux Bandit in the form of their sophomore EP and searing kick up the arse, Flex.
The pairing of guitarist/vocalist Adam Brill and drummer Josh Johnstone pump out a fair whack of sound, bringing a cocktail of raw vox and slinky riffs, hammered into a groove by Josh’s pounding drums. They’ve been at it for a while now, recording music together over the years, but only dropped their first record as Faux Bandit with 2015’s debut EP The Better You Look, The More You See.
If you’re up for a heaping of rock to kick off the new year, you’ll be able to catch Faux Bandit live in action this Thursday Jan 5 as they launch Flex at their hometown haunt of The Brightside in Brisbane, joined by Ornifex, Alastyn and Fox Ache.
